Over ten days, some of Barcelona’s most influential cocktail bars will present original creations featuring Brandy de Jerez. These unique drinks, ranging from classic reinterpretations to avant-garde concoctions, will demonstrate the spirit’s vast potential as a high-end cocktail ingredient. The event underscores the spirit’s journey from its origins in select wines and aging in historic Sherry Casks to becoming a complex and elegant addition to demanding mixology.
Professional Event and Workshops Kick Off the Week
The Brandy de Jerez Cocktail Week will commence with a professional event on Tuesday, November 18th, at the iconic Hotel Casa Fuster on Passeig de Gràcia. This gathering is expected to draw up to 200 attendees, including bartenders, mixologists, sommeliers, restaurateurs, press, and distributors. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the immense potential of Jerez’s distilled spirit from winemakers, bodega owners, and mixology experts, and to sample exclusive Solera Gran Reserva brands.
The event will feature a series of Mixology Workshops led by renowned mixologists such as Diego Cabrera, Adriana Chía, Luis Inchaurraga, Alberto Pizarro, Marc Álvarez, Giacomo Giannotti, and Margarita Sader. These workshops will delve into the secrets of working with Brandy de Jerez, covering everything from classic cocktail revisions and creative processes to advanced techniques and applications.
Showroom and Vertical Tastings: A Deep Dive into Brandy de Jerez
Also on Tuesday, November 18th, a Bodega Showroom will take place in both morning and afternoon sessions. Enologists and master blenders from the main producing bodegas of the Jerez region will showcase over twenty Solera Gran Reserva brands.
