25-year-old motorcyclist dies in Barcelona accident: four dead on the road in less than a day

The incident occurred around 12:45 PM on Nicaragua Street in Barcelona, within the Sants-Montjuïc district. Near number 27, the motorcyclist suffered an accident and was found lying on the ground. An ambulance from the Medical Emergency System (SEM) and units from the Urban Guard’s Central Traffic Accident Unit (UCAT) were dispatched to the scene. Upon their arrival, the young man was still alive and was transported in critical condition to Hospital Clínic, where he later died despite efforts to save him.
Four Fatalities in Under 24 Hours
The causes of the accident remain unknown, but according to the Urban Guard, no other vehicle was involved. At this time, it is not clear what caused the motorcyclist to fall. This young man is the third fatal victim in Barcelona this year. With this accident, four people have now died on Catalan roads in the last 24 hours, three of whom were motorcyclists.
Just minutes before the Barcelona incident, a man also died in a solo accident on the B-300 in Calonge de Segarra, Anoia, without involving any other vehicle. Yesterday evening, two more people, a woman and a minor, died in a head-on collision with another vehicle.
