Madrid’s newest municipal summer pool in Tetuán is officially open for the 2026 season, offering a refreshing escape as the first rays of May sunshine arrive. Located at the Paseo de la Dirección Municipal Sports Center (number 165), this is the district’s first outdoor municipal pool and the latest addition to the city’s aquatic facilities. Opened on May 15 with a free open day, the pool will welcome visitors until September 6, 2026.

Pool Facilities

The Tetuán summer pool boasts a main pool measuring 25 x 25 meters, complemented by a secondary circular splash pool with a 7-meter diameter for younger children. The facilities span 1,400 square meters and include changing rooms and relaxation areas. Additionally, the CDM Playa Victoria pool in Tetuán features a solarium area that is also accessible during the summer season.

Opening Hours

The pool maintains its three standard time slots:

  • Morning: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Afternoon: 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
  • Full Day: 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM

Full-day users will receive an identification bracelet that must be worn visibly throughout the day to facilitate access control.

How to Purchase Tickets

Tickets can be purchased through several convenient channels:

  • On-site ticket offices: Available at municipal sports centers.
  • Enabled kiosks: Located at certain centers for immediate purchase, reducing waiting times and offering an alternative for those without online payment methods.
  • Online: Via the Sports Department website.
  • Mobile App: Through the Madrid Móvil application.

The sales system prioritizes digitalization, with 80% of tickets available online up to 49 hours in advance. The remaining 20% is reserved for in-person sales at the ticket office, supplemented by any online tickets still available at opening time.

Access Control and Dynamic Capacity

Capacity is linked to the service’s time slots. Access is controlled by staff at the sports centers who scan QR codes and verify the application of discounts where applicable. To optimize available spaces, this season will again feature QR code checks upon exit, enabling a dynamic capacity system. This system allows for the release of tickets from users who leave the pool before their session ends, making more spots available for others.
