Madrid, January 11, 2026 – Officers from the Information Group of the Civil Guard Command in Madrid have successfully dismantled a criminal organization composed of members from the Trinitarios, Blood, and Forty-Two gangs. This unified group operated in the municipalities of Collado Villalba and Galapagar, both located in the Community of Madrid. The operation led to the investigation and arrest of 17 individuals, including several minors, who are accused of various crimes.
Operation Targets Resurgent Gang Activity
The investigation revealed that the gang had reactivated its activities following the release of one of its minor members from an internment center. In total, six minors were arrested (five in Villalba and one in Madrid), and eleven adults are under investigation for their alleged involvement in crimes including belonging to a criminal organization, assault, threats, and violent robberies.
Spike in Violent Incidents Triggers Investigation
During the latter months of last year, a significant increase in violent aggressions was observed in the northwest region of the Community of Madrid. Through extensive investigation, authorities determined that these attacks were orchestrated by violent youth gangs. This crucial discovery allowed law enforcement to identify those responsible for the surge in criminal activity.
Ending Gang Confrontations and Preventing Further Violence
The successful operation has put an end to the ongoing confrontations between the Latin Kings and the alliance led by the Trinitarios. Authorities had uncovered plans for retaliatory actions and aggressions among rival gangs, which had already resulted in a stabbing incident. The swift intervention by the Civil Guard prevented further escalation of violence in the area.
Those arrested and investigated face charges of criminal organization, threats, coercion, robbery with force, and assault. All individuals have been brought before the judicial authorities. The minors involved were presented before the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office, which ordered the admission of four of them to a closed-regime center.
Community Impact and Ongoing Efforts
The dismantling of this criminal group is a significant step towards ensuring public safety in the affected areas. The presence of such violent gangs had instilled fear among residents and contributed to a climate of insecurity. The Civil Guard’s proactive measures underscore their commitment to combating organized crime and protecting the community.
Authorities continue to monitor gang-related activities across Madrid to prevent the resurgence of such groups and to address the underlying issues that contribute to youth involvement in criminal organizations. Public cooperation and vigilance remain crucial in these ongoing efforts to maintain peace and order.
