The Madrid City Council has officially launched the 2026 municipal summer pool season, offering residents and visitors an affordable and activity-rich way to beat the heat. With 22 pools already open since May 15th and three more scheduled to open in early June (Santa Ana, Moscardó, and Vallecas), the city is ready to welcome swimmers until September 6th.

The 2026 summer pool campaign runs from May 15th to September 6th. A total of 25 outdoor pools will be available across various districts, in addition to several heated indoor pools used for recreational purposes.

How to Purchase Tickets
The system prioritizes digital sales for efficiency and crowd management:
- Online: Via the Deportes Web portal or the Madrid Móvil application. 80% of tickets are sold online up to 49 hours in advance.
- On-site: 20% of tickets are available at the sports center ticket offices 30 minutes before each shift. Unsold online tickets may also become available at the ticket office.
The dynamic capacity control system will continue to free up spots when users leave early, a system that reused over 28,700 tickets in 2025.

The 2026 season introduces a new “Directed Physical Activity Program in Pools” from May 18th to June 30th. These free express classes (30-45 minutes) are open to all, require no prior registration, and are included with your regular pool admission.

In addition to the new classes, municipal pools will once again host free basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) workshops from June to August.
