Navarre Wines Take Center Stage at Barcelona Wine Week 2026

Barcelona, February 2, 2026 – The Fira de Barcelona has become a global hub for wine professionals this week, hosting the highly anticipated Barcelona Wine Week from February 2 to 4. Among the distinguished participants, Navarre’s wine sector stands out with a dedicated collective stand featuring 20 wineries, all united by a shared commitment to the region’s origin, quality, and unique identity. This event provides an unparalleled opportunity to showcase Navarre’s rich viticultural heritage and its innovative spirit to an international audience.

The Navarre stand is designed not merely to display wines, but to share the compelling stories, philosophies, and diverse approaches that define Navarre’s winemaking tradition. From ancient vineyards to pioneering young projects, Navarre’s wines embody a narrative deeply rooted in its landscape, climate, people, and a profound respect for the passage of time.

A Diverse Representation of Navarre’s Viticulture

The collective stand proudly hosts a wide array of prestigious wineries, including Bodega Inurrieta, Castillo Monjardín, Grupo Príncipe de Viana, Bodegas Marco Real, Tandem, Ozalder, Ubeta, Bodegas Malón de Echaide, Bodegas Ochoa, Bodegas Alconde, Nekeas, Bodegas Asensio, Bodega Marqués de Montecierzo, Alzania, Aliaga, Quaderna Via, Bodegas Caudalía, Pagos de Araiz, Bodega de Sada, and Eslava. Their presence is further bolstered by the Consejo Regulador de la D.O. Navarra and the Consejo Regulador del Pacharán Navarro, collectively offering a comprehensive and representative glimpse into the plurality, character, and future projection of Navarre’s wine industry.

Highlighting the dynamic nature of the sector, the participating wineries include both established names and innovative newcomers:

  • Bodega Alzania introduces its new Alzania Las Cuestas 2024, a limited production wine from a century-old vineyard, showcasing exceptional varietal diversity. It is a testament to an ambitious project aimed at recovering ancient grape varieties. Additionally, Alzania presents new vintages and participates in the ‘Great Jewels of Navarre’ master tasting, led by international taster Beth Willard, featuring Alzania La Cardelina 2021.
  • Bodegas Marco Real unveils a significant rebranding of its iconic Homenaje wine. This comprehensive restyling encompasses the wine itself, its label, bottle, and all associated elements. For Marco Real, wine is not merely an industrial product but a vibrant expression of a landscape and a viticultural culture passed down through each bottle. Their commitment extends to wine tourism, offering emotionally engaging and educational experiences, such as their unique Aroma Room, one of Spain’s largest and most complete.
  • Bodega Eslava champions a new approach to viticulture, deeply respecting the environment. Since April 2025, the winery has been engaged in an innovative rural project focused on regenerative agriculture and local biogenetics. This initiative prioritizes soil microbiota health to ensure balanced vine expression, healthy grapes, and a vibrant, diverse landscape. At Barcelona Wine Week 2026, Eslava debuts its first wines from this project: Bodega Eslava Blanc and Bodega Eslava Rosé, crafted from Garnacha Blanca and Garnacha Tinta with selected indigenous yeasts.
  • Bodega Inurrieta arrives at Barcelona Wine Week with significant national accolades, including the award for ‘Best Red Wine of Spain 2025’ for Altos de Inurrieta 2020 and the ‘Best Food of Navarre Award’ for Inurrieta Orchidea 2024. The winery is also expanding its vineyard holdings to 300 hectares with new plantings in 2025 and 2026. Furthermore, an ambitious R&D project has culminated in the recovery of historical Navarre varieties and biotypes, including ancestral Garnachas and nearly extinct indigenous varieties, underscoring the diversity and uniqueness of Navarre’s viticultural heritage.
  • Bodegas Alconde is a pioneer in Navarre’s certified regenerative agriculture with its Finca Regenera project. They present three wines produced under this unique model in the Foral Community, demonstrating a commitment to cooperating with nature to enhance fruit quality and combat climate change. Metanoia, their first certified wine, symbolizes this shift towards viticulture that regenerates soils, increases biodiversity, and fosters slower, more balanced grape maturation, maximizing quality potential.
  • Bodega Marqués de Montecierzo, a family winery with four generations of experience, operates from a rehabilitated century-old building designated as local heritage. With 30 hectares of vineyards in La Sarda and Majarrasas, characterized by limestone soils and significant thermal oscillations, the winery meticulously controls every stage of cultivation and winemaking. Their artisanal production in French and American oak barrels has garnered numerous awards for wines like Emergente Rosado de Lágrima, Montecierzo 100% Merlot, and Emergente Crianza, recognized by D.O. Navarra, Guía Peñín, and international competitions.
  • Bodegas Ochoa introduces Labrit Blanco, completing the Labrit family alongside its red and rosé counterparts, all made from Garnacha. This complex, limited-production white wine (approximately 6,000 bottles) is aged in concrete and large wooden foudres, originating from a vineyard near Olite with deep family roots. Its label, signed by Javier Ochoa, depicts a pelota player in mid-air, symbolizing the ebb and flow of time and paying homage to the festive atmosphere of Pamplona’s Labrit fronton.
  • Príncipe de Viana presents Oneca, the first wine entirely made from a recovered historical Navarre variety. With an exclusive production of only 3,300 bottles, this unique white wine marks a milestone in Spanish viticultural biodiversity. Oneca is the result of nearly two decades of research and the recovery of a white Navarre grape hidden for decades until its official registration as a new commercial variety in 2023. This project, driven in collaboration with EVENA within the Cepas Singulares de Navarra – Vinos Old-Vidaos program, has preserved valuable viticultural heritage, yielding a fresh, balanced, and aromatic wine that reflects the singular character of this unprecedented grape.

The collective presence of these Navarre wineries at Barcelona Wine Week reinforces a powerful message: Navarre’s wine industry is diverse, forward-thinking, and capable of engaging with international markets through its authenticity, quality, and profound respect for its territory.
