Pasea Madrid 2026: Nearly 10,000 Free Guided Tour Slots Available
The municipal program of free guided tours, Pasea Madrid, organized by the Culture, Tourism, and Sports Area, is launching its 2026 edition. Starting this Wednesday, March 18th, residents and visitors of Madrid can reserve their spots for nearly 10,000 available places across more than 350 tour sessions, running from April to June. This initiative aims to bring the capital’s rich cultural and natural heritage closer to the public.
Reservation Details and Important Dates
Reservations open on Wednesday, March 18th.
- 10:00 AM: Reservations open for individuals over 65 years old on the platform of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Urban Landscape.
- 12:00 PM: Reservations become available for the general public.

Explore Madrid Through Five Thematic Tours
The 2026 program offers five distinct thematic tours, providing diverse perspectives on Madrid’s iconic landmarks and hidden gems:
- El Paisaje de la Luz – Retiro Gardens (April 6th to June 28th)
- Schedule: Mondays at 5:00 PM; in June, also on Wednesdays.
- Special Note: The first Monday of each month is reserved for seniors.
- Highlights: Explore the historical significance of the Buen Retiro Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site since July 2021, and its transformation from a royal residence to a public park.
- El Paisaje de la Luz – Paseo del Prado (April 7th to June 23rd)
- Schedule: Tuesdays at 5:00 PM; in June, also on Thursdays.
- Special Note: The first Tuesday of each month is reserved for seniors.
- Highlights: Discover the evolution of Paseo del Prado, a historic boulevard adorned with fountains, palaces, and public buildings. The tour concludes at Palacio de Cibeles, where participants can visit the Interpretation Center of El Paisaje de la Luz. This area is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Frontón Beti Jai (April 1st to June 28th)
- Schedule:
- Tuesday to Friday: 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 1:00 PM.
- Weekends: 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
- From May 19th: Additional weekday tour at 10:00 AM and weekend tour at 1:00 PM.
- Special Note: The Thursday 12:00 PM tour is reserved for seniors.
- Highlights: Visit this unique architectural gem in the Chamberí district, a former Basque pelota court built in 1893. Recognized as a Property of Cultural Interest in 2011 and awarded the National Restoration and Conservation of Cultural Assets Prize in 2025, it showcases an eclectic style mixing iron, glass, and concrete.
- Schedule:
- Monument to Alfonso XII (April 1st to June 27th)
- Schedule: Wednesdays at 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM; Saturdays at 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
- Special Note: From June, an additional tour is added on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM and Saturdays at 1:00 PM. The Wednesday 5:00 PM tour is reserved for seniors.
- Highlights: Ascend to the 360-degree viewpoint of this historicist monument in Retiro Park, offering stunning views of El Paisaje de la Luz.
- El Capricho Bunker (April 2nd to June 28th)
- Schedule: Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays at 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
- Special Note: The Saturday 12:00 PM tour is reserved for seniors.
- Highlights: Explore this underground headquarters, built during the Spanish Civil War, located 15 meters deep within El Capricho Garden. It spans approximately 2,000 square meters and features various work dependencies, a decontamination area, and multiple access points.
