The National Police have recently dismantled ten ‘narcopisos’ in a comprehensive operation against drug dealing points in the Community of Madrid, culminating in the arrest of 27 individuals. In one of the properties in Móstoles, officers seized 60 kilograms of hashish and seven kilograms of cocaine.
Major Hauls in Alcalá de Henares and Móstoles
In Alcalá de Henares, two men were arrested as alleged perpetrators of drug trafficking. Investigators confirmed that these individuals, members of a family clan, had established a selling point where people came to acquire doses of cocaine, heroin, and hashish.
On February 3, two homes were raided with the support of the Special Operations Group (GEO) to secure the properties. Seized items included nearly 1,900 euros in cash, a firearm, several large prohibited bladed weapons, doses of hashish, cocaine, and marijuana prepared for sale, as well as precision scales for preparing and distributing narcotics.
In Móstoles, National Police agents arrested two men for a public health offense, seizing 60 kilograms of hashish, seven kilograms of cocaine, 70,000 clonazepam pills, 11,500 euros, 500 blank prescriptions, a medical stamp, and various utensils for the preparation, weighing, distribution, and sale of psychotropic substances.
Extensive surveillance and investigations revealed the persistent drug dealing activity of one of the detainees, with a high volume of buyers at the home and surrounding areas. The involvement of a second man in this selling process was also confirmed. On January 23, simultaneous raids were carried out at the homes of both men in Móstoles and Alcorcón, with most of the seized substances found in the latter location. One of the suspects has been imprisoned.
Cañada Real Galiana Targeted in January
Throughout January, the fight against street-level drug dealing focused heavily on Cañada Real Galiana, with several interventions. In Sector VI, when agents stormed a selling point, seven detainees attempted to dispose of drugs and money by throwing them into a wood-burning stove. Officers found fractional currency and doses of cocaine and heroin. Also recovered were fragments of burned banknotes and calcined substance residues that tested positive for cocaine and heroin, along with various drug paraphernalia.
Just ten days later, on January 30, the National Police dismantled another drug selling point, also in Sector VI of Cañada Real Galiana. The raid yielded nearly 900 euros, doses of heroin and cocaine, and a modified stiletto knife. Despite attempts by individuals to destroy evidence in a stove, agents recovered forty partially burned 20-euro banknotes and various drug paraphernalia. A total of seven people were arrested.
Drug Dealing Near Schools and in Other Districts
In mid-January, the National Police, in collaboration with the Madrid Municipal Police, conducted a joint operation against drug sales in the Vicálvaro district. On January 13, agents dismantled a selling point where hashish and marijuana were distributed under the guise of a smokers’ club, arresting five people.
In Ciudad Lineal, also with the Municipal Police, a man was arrested, and another ‘narcopiso’ was dismantled. Approximately 5,000 euros in cash, 29 hashish tablets weighing nearly three kilograms, over a kilogram of cocaine, and almost 5,000 grams of MDMA were seized. Additionally, agents confiscated two short firearms and a taser pistol.
In the Madrid district of Centro, police arrested a man who was preparing and distributing drugs in a property near three educational centers. Eight types of drugs were seized, including nearly 60 grams of ecstasy, over 45 grams of MDMA, nearly 35 grams of speed, and more than 2,300 euros in cash.
Furthermore, in the Usera district, agents arrested a woman and a man in a home converted into a cocaine and heroin selling point.
