Teenager Arrested in Madrid for Filming and Sharing Sexual Encounters with Prostitutes
Madrid, January 16, 2026 – A 19-year-old man has been arrested in his Vallecas home in Madrid on suspicion of nine counts of discovery and disclosure of secrets. The Bolivian national is accused of secretly recording his sexual encounters with prostitutes using a hidden camera and subsequently disseminating the footage on an online forum.
According to a statement released by the National Police on Thursday, the man filmed these encounters without consent. He then edited the videos, pixelating his own face and altering his voice to avoid identification. However, the faces and nude bodies of the women involved were clearly visible and recognizable in the shared content. The edited videos were then uploaded and distributed through an internet forum.
Investigation Initiated After Victim’s Complaint
The investigation commenced in January 2025, following a complaint from a woman who discovered videos of herself and six other women published on an internet forum. Extensive inquiries by the investigative unit led to a raid and search of the individual’s home in Madrid on December 3, 2025.
During the search, the investigated videos were found, including some unedited versions that clearly showed the individual’s face without any alterations. Authorities seized a mobile phone and a hard drive as evidence. Following these findings, the man was arrested by the Judicial Police Brigade and charged with nine counts of discovery and disclosure of secrets. He has since been placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.
Legal Implications and Broader Context
The arrest highlights the increasing prevalence of privacy violations in the digital age, particularly concerning the non-consensual sharing of intimate content. Such actions constitute serious offenses under Spanish law, falling under the category of discovery and disclosure of secrets, which carries significant legal penalties. The case underscores the importance of digital literacy and the protection of personal data and image rights in online environments.
This incident also brings to light the vulnerabilities faced by individuals, particularly those in precarious situations, to exploitation and privacy breaches. Law enforcement agencies are actively working to combat these types of crimes, emphasizing the need for robust legal frameworks and public awareness campaigns to prevent and address such abuses.
The National Police continue to urge victims of similar crimes to come forward and report incidents, assuring them of support and confidentiality throughout the investigative process. The case remains under judicial review as further proceedings are expected to determine the full extent of the charges and appropriate legal consequences.
