Barcelona’s Exclusive BORIS Nightclub Nominated for ‘The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2026’
Barcelona, April 21 – The vibrant nightlife of Barcelona has a new star. BORIS, an exclusive nightclub located in the upper area of the city, has been nominated for ‘The World’s 100 Best Clubs 2026’, one of the most influential international rankings in the sector. This recognition comes in record time, as the club opened its doors in October 2025.
An Unexpected Entry into the International Ranking
BORIS is not just another club; its nomination signifies a rapid ascent in the global nightlife scene. Inaugurated merely months ago, the venue has quickly captured the attention of the international circuit, a rare feat in a list typically dominated by establishments with long-standing reputations. This swift inclusion underscores the club’s unique appeal and the strategic vision of its operators.
The nomination is part of a broader success for Grupo Costa Este, which has secured seven of its venues in the 2026 nominations. These include OPIUM Barcelona, OPIUM Madrid, OPIUM Marbella, XCESS Puerto Banús, Bling Bling, KU Barcelona, and BORIS itself. The public voting phase for the awards is set to commence on April 15 via the official International Nightlife Association (INA) website, with the final classification determined by a combination of public votes and an international professional jury’s assessment.
An Exclusive Concept in Barcelona’s Upper Zone
Situated on Bori i Fontestà street, BORIS occupies the historic premises that once housed the legendary Bacarrá nightclub. Grupo Costa Este has completely transformed the space, creating a modern and selective environment. With an approximate capacity of 250 people, BORIS caters to an adult audience from Barcelona’s upper-class district. The club maintains a refined and restricted entry policy: on Thursdays, it admits patrons aged 23 and above, while on Fridays and Saturdays, the age limit is raised to 27 and older.
The club operates from Thursday to Saturday, opening its doors from 11:59 PM until 5:00 AM on weekdays and extending to 6:00 AM on weekends. Its musical programming centers around electronic genres such as afro-house, house, tech house, and melodic techno, alongside burgeoning rhythms like afrobeat and amapiano. The lineup features both resident DJs and international guest artists, ensuring a diverse and cutting-edge auditory experience.
Design, Generational Transition, and Global Projection
The interior design, meticulously crafted by Futur2 studio, draws inspiration from leading European clubs. It incorporates luxurious red velvets, warm lighting, and opulent golden accents, all contributing to its exclusive identity. This aesthetic commitment is complemented by a strategic business approach, spearheaded by the generational transition within Grupo Costa Este, with Ramón Jr. and Jorge Bordas Estany at the helm of this innovative project.
With over 30 years of experience, a presence in major cities like Barcelona, Madrid, and Marbella, and more than 15 active establishments, Grupo Costa Este continues to solidify its international stature. BORIS’s emergence in the nominations reaffirms a significant trend: even in a sector traditionally dominated by established names in Ibiza, Las Vegas, or Dubai, there remains ample room for new ventures that can rapidly carve out their niche and achieve global recognition.
BORIS’s quick rise to prominence not only elevates Barcelona’s status on the international nightlife map but also serves as a testament to the city’s dynamic cultural scene and its capacity to foster innovative entertainment concepts. As the voting period progresses, all eyes will be on BORIS to see how far this exclusive new club can climb in the ranks of the world’s best.
