Digital Workshops #estàsON Return to Barcelona Libraries
Barcelona Libraries, in collaboration with Barcelona Activa, are excited to announce the return of their popular digital workshops, #estàsON. These workshops are specifically designed to ignite interest in science and technology among children and young people between the ages of 6 and 12.
The program aims to provide engaging and educational activities that introduce participants to the exciting worlds of robotics and art, demonstrating how these fields intersect and contribute to real-world advancements.
Workshop Details and Registration
All workshops require prior registration, which will open on Monday, March 23rd, at 9:30 AM. Registration will be conducted through the Puntxarxa platform. To register, you will need the child’s library card number and PIN. If you do not remember the PIN, you can request a new one via the provided link on the registration page.
Workshop Schedule:
- #estàsON. ARTE BOT (Ages 6-8)
- Date: Tuesday, March 31st
- Time: 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
- Description: Participants will build their own motorized robot and explore the connection between art and science. This introductory robotics workshop promises a fun and creative experience.
- #estàsON. ROBOTS IN ACTION (Ages 9-12)
- Date: Wednesday, April 1st
- Time: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Description: This workshop delves into the importance of robotics and its role in advancing fields such as health and environmental sustainability. Children will construct their own robots to gain hands-on understanding.
How to Register
To ensure a smooth registration process, please follow these steps:
- Ensure you have the child’s library card number and PIN. If you need a new PIN, visit the Puntxarxa website.
- Visit the Puntxarxa registration portal on or after March 23rd at 9:30 AM.
- Select the desired workshop and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration.
These workshops are an excellent opportunity for children to develop essential skills in a fun and interactive environment. Spaces are limited, so early registration is highly recommended.
